Edit DNS records

Change nameservers and host records without taking the site offline longer than you must.

DNS tells the internet where a domain’s website and mail live. A wrong record is the usual reason a new site or a new mailbox looks broken.

• Open the domain in your Reginova account and choose DNS.
• Add an A record for the bare domain pointing at the hosting IPv4 address.
• Add a CNAME for www pointing at the bare domain, or a second A record with the same address.
• Set MX records to the mail host. Remove old MX records so mail does not split.
• Add TXT records for SPF, DKIM, and site verification exactly as the provider shows them.
• Leave TTL at 30 minutes unless you are in the middle of a migration, then lower it a day before the change.

Nameserver changes can take up to 24–48 hours to be visible everywhere. Host-record changes are usually visible within the TTL.
